Hurling is a very important part of the extracurricular program here in Borris Vocational School given the strength of GAA within the local community and attracts students from Carlow and Kilkenny clubs such as Mount Leinster Rangers, St Mullins, Ballinkillen, Myshall, Barrow Rangers, Graiguenamanagh and Blacks and Whites amongst others. In past years the Senior Hurlers have competed at the Leinster A Colleges level reaching league finals and numerous semi and quarter finals at this grade. Currently the team is competing in the Leinster B Colleges championship.
