Golf Classic Success

We are delighted with the remarkable success of our recent Golf Classic fundraiser, held on April 27th to raise funds to enhance information technology facilities at our school. This event brought together members of our community, local businesses, past students and teachers and many supporters who share our commitment to enhancing the educational experience of our students.

The Golf Classic took place at the beautiful Borris Golf Club, where participants enjoyed a day filled with friendly competition, camaraderie, and a shared passion for supporting education. The event attracted golf enthusiasts of all skill levels, from seasoned players to beginners, creating a vibrant atmosphere of excitement and unity. The rain did not dampen the spirits of our golfers who took to the course with passion and skill.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and participants, we are delighted to announce that we have raised approximately €12,000 with some funds still coming in. These funds will directly contribute to purchasing essential devices such as laptops and other technology tools that will empower our students to excel academically and thrive in today's digital world.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this event. Special thanks to the many event sponsors, whose support was invaluable in making this fundraiser possible. We are deeply grateful for their commitment to our school and our students.

We must acknowledge the help and support of the amazing Borris Golf Club. We are eternally grateful to Club Captain Mr. Sean Hanafin, Mr. Kieran Lucas, Borris Golf Club and Ms. Caroline Hanafin for joining the organising committee and giving their time, expertise, help and advice in running the event.

We would also like to express our appreciation to the dedicated committee members on the staff who generously gave their time and energy to both ensure the Golf Classic ran smoothly and secure sponsorship. Their hard work and dedication played a significant role in the event's success, and we are immensely grateful for their help.
